ok this may be a touchy subject for some people .. but im watching ghost adventures and so im thinking about death & ghosts. Do you believe in them? I do 100%, ive seen too much & dealt with a lot of death in my life not to!
when i was a kid, my friends and i dabbled in the "spirit world" .. hey, the craft was big then, it seemed like fun! :) so, im guessing thats what started it all. My mothers old house was haunted, completely! Plus, i guess i like to believe that if there are ghosts, then maybe one day my dad can make his presence known.
not going to lie, im pretty jealous about when people tell me their loved ones that have passed have made some kind of connection. i have yet to experience that. i mean i have the little things here & there, but never anything huge. Ive smelled cigarette smoke when i shouldnt be (he was a huge smoker) and theres been a few times i know 110% in my heart my dad has saved me from a few car accidents that wouldve killed me (he died in a car accident). So i know hes here, i just wish hed make moreeee of a contact.
it was a pretty crazy few years there in high school, everyyy year of my high school career, a friend of mine's dad died, and none of them died in a "normal" way. my freshman year my friends dad died while on a family vaca in chicago, he started having a heart attack in the hotel (well we all know how long it takes for anyone to get anywhere in chicago) so the paramedics didnt make it there in time, so they had to watch their dad die :( My sophmore year my friends dad in a freak motorcycle accident ... my junior year my dad died in a car accident (that story is for another time, it was quite the situation) & my senior year my dads friend had a heart attack in the middle of hyvee and died.
but anyways, all my friends have told me stories of seeing their dad's right after they passed, i never got that .. so im kinda bitter about it. but, what can you do? you have to just try to pick up the pieces & continue on with life.

Ok so im sitting here home from work early watching my cubbies and thought id share the story of my marriage .. well road up to it! It sure was a long rocky one ... but we made it :)
It was the night before Thanksgiving 2007 & i was hitting the town with a couple of my girlfriends!
She informed me that her boyfriend was bringing some guys from work to meet up with us later that night .. i said sure, im always up for a good time! :) One of these "guys" just happened to be a guy named Jeremy! We talked a little bit throughout the night & as the bar was closing he just leaned in and kissed me, yes .. it was a bit shocked! lol, hes not shy at all! :p We ended up that night at my friend's place & we ended up falling asleep on the couch watching Serendipity, how cute huh?! :)

It was just pretty much all over after that, we spent everyday together & fell in love immediately. We were engaged about 6mos later! :)
We had some problems with both of our ex's at first but nothing was stopping us! :) We moved in together & hit a few bumps. We both had lost our jobs and spent the next 6mos looking for work. We both got back to work & moved away. There in our new town we hit our biggest lows and split up for a couple months .. there started all the fun with the whores coming out of the woodwork! We worked it out and a year later we bought our first house, where we are now :)
We were then together for about 4 years & still just engaged. I swore, i was going to be that woman who just got engaged and stayed that way for forever! lol :) Then one night while he was at work he texted me and asked if I was ready to change my last name? :) We decided we didnt want a big wedding .. I had already previously been married & didnt want to waste the $$ & he has a love for cars so he wasnt ready to stop spending $$ on those either :p We decided to just have a courthouse wedding .. as to us, getting married is something we wanted to share just us & make it our special moment!
So there ya have it, after a long bumpy 4 years - on August 25, 2011 I became Mrs. Corrie Miller <3

So today is secretary's day huh? doesnt that mean i should get a free pass to sleep all day or at least sleep here at work!? ;) i think it should, which is why im just the secretary & not the boss!
Hopefully today goes quickly, im feeling like shit today ... last night i had a horrible pain in my life side .. my hubby seems to think its my kidneys (i love pop wayy to much!). I figure as long as im not laying passed out on the floor im fine :p .. i HATE doctors and think they are pointless .. ill figure it out on my own .. anywayssssss, now that im done rambling :)
Im pretty excited about the fact that we have a severe weather watch for tonight, i think nothing is better then cuddling up and watching it rain and storm! :) Plus, storms help me sleep at night. That is one thing i love about Iowa is our crazy spring weather!
